Pediatric case series continues with medial epicondyle fracture fixation
Prof. Lascombes case series continues with a medial epicondylar fracture fixation. In this case the fragment was medially displaced. As some surgeons prefer a conservative treatment to a surgical approach, Prof. Lascombes´ personal feeling is to reduce and fix the medial epicondyle for two main reasons. Firstly, the possibility of the non-union leading year after year to a distal progression of the fragment source of pain and elbow instability. Secondly, a bump of the medial epicondyle due to an enormous callus, and the possibility of secondary ulnar impairment.
The case is now available in our white paper library.
